Old and tired transmission. Clutches could be burnt. Does the fluid smell burnt? Could be other things, but most likely it's due for a rebuild.

A salvage yard would have the interchange books to tell you for sure.

You most likely burnt your fuel pump out. you cam run a hot wire to the pump and see if it runs correctly. your not building enough pressure.

no it wont work.they made too many changes with them about 2 years older and id say yes but no they wont interchange
