Hi,
Have the battery checked at a store or garage. If the battery checks out good, then you have a couple possible problems. Either your alternator is dead or you have a short in the electrical system. A garage should also be able to check the alternator. If battery and Alt are good, then there is definitely a short in the system that is slowly draining the charge while the vehicle is sitting. A lot of times this is caused by a bad ground. If that isn't the issue and your battery won't stay charged, then replace your alternator. Battery drains

Assume you mean drains of power not fluid. Does battery light show on dash with engine running. Make sure that the alternator drive belt is correctly tensioned (longest side betwen pullys move 1/2" up/down). If it takes a few days to loose charge temp fix is to use a solar battery charger that can charge battery when car is parked. Hope this helps.

Why is my new battery running down while car is parked and turned off?

Check all the dome lights or the light in the trunk. One of them is on all the time. Or something else is on or shorted. Take out one fuse each night, to see what circuit is running something. You might have a bad alternator.

Sounds like you have the onset of a charging problem. Check the operation of you're alternator, or possibly an internal short in the battery.

1992 Mazda mpv . Won't hold charge . Engine won't

The first thing to do is have the battery tested, just because you charged it doesn't mean it will stay charged if the cells are sulfated up or shorted.

We have the day time running lights working but no high beam license plate or running lights. There appears to be a short or an inline fuse please we need some advice,

There is a relay and a fuse you need to check in your hood compartment fuse box. Check under parking lights, head lamps L & R Low Beam and Head Lamps L & R high beam. You will definitely have one blown. Its a cheap fix so get her done. Good luck.

Mazda tribute 2001 Battery goes flat occasionally with lights left on for about ten Minute. Battery has been checked all ok. Also Cruise control engages but nil op. A fuse will also blow about every 2...

Yes a short somewhere But where?
A battery should hold lights on for a while and not go flat but then what size battery have you got and how much dose it charge when driving as it should hold 12 volts and when running it should charge at 13.5 volts no more ,,,But a short in the lights weather Head/or/Parking lights would burn out the wire ,blow fuse every time you turn on lights.....

Mazda MPV 2004 - Stutters, check engine light came on

chances are fairly good it's the coils - I've posted about this on Edmunds. the OEM design is truely idiotic & has a vent that allows moisture down into the plug well - that shorts the spark & causes misfires. On our 2004 MPV I got away w/cleaning & drying them extremely carefully then sealing the vent w/silicone as a temp measure, then ordered perfect replacement after-market coils off ebay that sealed the wells & stopped the problem -and- were a tiny fraction of the OEM price.  good luck, BK

Headlights come on discharging battery, when every thing is off

Sounds like a relay switch it is under the hood it will be located it the fuse box and it is a little black box like item with numbers on it. it will say on the cover to this box what it is .Like headlight dim or bright . well any way just go to auto part store and ask for it. a head light rely . then you will know.it cheep fix.
