Question about 1999 Ford Expedition
The car runs fine but most of the time turns over for a long time before starting. I had it tuned up and it did not help. Sometimes it starts a little better if I let off a little pressure on the key while cranking it over.
Check the fuel pressure to make sure that after the key is turned off it does not drop more than 5 PSI, if it does the check valve for te electric fuel pump is defective, this causes long crank times due to the fact the fuel line has to be pumped full before any gas reaches the injectors.
