The donor engine may not be compatible with your system. I came across that on an Aerostar van once. The donor engine came from the wrong interchangible year of Aerostar and didn't work at all until I installed the correct year engine harness to communicate with the factory ECM.

Also make sure you have a good connection to the crank sensor and sensor itself. You can take the ignition module to NAPA and have it checked to make sure it's good or not as well.

My 2000 Dodge Caravan won't start

Are you saying the engine will not crank, or crank but will not start ?
None of the engine sensors come into play until after the engine is cranking.
Cranking problems can include the neutral safety switch and other factors with the crank circuit back to the key switch.
