OdometerGears.com has the gears for you to repair the odometer. If the odometer and the tripometer are stacked you will need and E20= 20 tooth gear and a 16 tooth medium pod. If the odometer and tripometer are split left to right you will need 2 drive and 2 worm gears. Give them a call and they will offer you a discount for the four gears. The total for two gears is $54.00 and for the four gears is $89.00 both prices include the shipping.

Usually if the speedometer works but the odometer does not, the problem is inside the speedo assembly. It would need to be sent to a shop for repair or replaced with a used assembly.

1999 jimmy odometer stopped working

My guess would be a bad connection at the harness for the cluster, or a problem with the printed circuit board inside the cluster.

Maintenance required light is on, 2 weeks ago changed motor oil, 43,800 miles, do not have any idea what is the next service, maybe you can help me whith this problem. thank you

1. To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil replacement, turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer reading showing. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down trip meter RESET button.
2. Hold trip meter RESET button down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should indicate "000000" and MAINT reminder light goes out.

'98 Buick Century has no odometer/gear selector display

The resisters on the back of the odometer fell off. they can be re solder if you can find them. That is what happened to mine. i stumbled on video directions on youtube. just pull out you cluster. there are 4 resisters on ther right top side of the of the PC board. if there still there they will be blackend and burned. just roll your finger on them and if they fall off easy there bad. you can buy replacement resistors for like $3 and same your self a $100 to fix or worse. buying a new one. ther resistors i used were 1/2 watt 150Ohm 5% tolerance resistors. and they can be bought from any raido shack. i hope this helps.

You do not need to replace the instrument cluster! The fix for this is a pack of resistors that you can buy for $1.00 or less. Take the cluster right out and you'll see 4 resistors in the upper-right area on the back of the cluster. You can probably pick them off with your finger, they'll be so worn out. Once those are off, solder new ones on (carefully, don't burn your circuit board) and reassemble the dash board.
I fixed the odometer/gear selector light on my 2001 Century this way and there are videos on youtube that will walk you through the whole process.
