Question about 1985 Jeep CJ7
I have a 1985 cj7, the all the signal lights works except when I turn on the head lights then my front two do not work. Also they blink fast is this normal. One other broblem is when I try to dim the head lights they turn off but when I step on the dimer switch they come back on.
Sounds like you have a ground problem on the lights.
I'm assuming that the front lights that don't work are the directionals.
You might want remove one then turn on the headlights and try a temporary ground wire to the black wire. If it works then either check your ground wire from the battery to the chassis or install a separate ground wire the the light assembly.
As far as blinking fast, make sure all your lights are working. If one bulb is out that could be the problem.
Replace the dimmer switch.
