Question about 1997 Jeep Tj
I have a 97 Tj 4 cyl. coil checks out fine, tried to run OBD11 diagnostics and got a reading that read " unable to connect to computer " There is no spark coming out of the coil. parked in driveway and that was all she wrote. I can hear the fuel pump activate when I turn the key on and I am getting fuel. Book says to test crank sensor at operating temp. that's a little hard when it wont start. Turns over fine, have a full tank of gas and fuel guage reads empty. All fuses ar good, auto shut down has been replaced. all fluid levels are good. all connections for grounds and any wiring has been cleaned. vehicle has roughly 125,000 miles on it. I've disconnected the cat. conv. and replaced o2 sensor. last tune up was about 5,000 miles ago. not sure where to go from here, on a tight budget at present time. any advice would be appreciated.
Mine did the very same thing and it turned out to be the crank sensor back by the bellhousing drivers side easy to change.
