Question about 2004 Volkswagen Golf
I OWN A gOLF 2006 GT TDI, THE ESP LIGHT CAME ON THE OTHER DAY AND WOULD NOT GO OFF,TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER, AND I WAS TOLD THERE IS A£1000 EXPENSE ON IT. WHAT PART COULD BE WORTH THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY??
Its the ABS ecu which will be the problem, it seems to be a common problem on the Mk5. The dealer will change the whole unit (pump and ecu) There are loads of second hand units around but you need to get the correct part number off the ecu as most of them are 1K0 907 379 ? (? the letter on the end varies a lot and this needs to be exact) Your local garage will fit the unit for you for a fraction of the cost. Won't your 2006 still be under warranty?

The only part on any car that cost any where near that much is the engine components
