Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT

1 Answer

Headlights I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. It was in an accident and both headlights work but they are not bolted to the car, because whatever hold it to the car looks like its broken. I was just wondering what that part is called. "The part that holds the lights to the car" I have been told by friends that they are called "Buckets"?? Or "Brackets"?? And usually how much do those cost? Thanks

I cant get my headlights off of my pontiac grand prix G6 2008

There should be a 10mm bolt holding a clip down (bent over metal attached to bolt you just undid) Remove that bolt which is a rod clip and pull striaght up until you feel the housing come loose, then starting from the outside corner, gently pull the housing out. Only need to remove the one bolt.

94 Grand Cherokee Laredo. I need to replace the headlight assemblies.

Open the hood of the Cherokee. Above the headlights are one bolt to each headlight. This holds the headlight in place. Removed the bolt. Then just pull out the headlights straight forward. There are clips that hold the headlight to the inner panel.

How I adjust headlights on a 1999 grand am?

  • Determine the type of headlights you have on your car. You can only adjust composite headlights if they bolt to adjuster plates. For dual headlights, look on the headlights for four adjustment screws per side. Sealed beam units have interior adjustment screws under the hood.
  • 4 Locate your adjustment screws. On sealed beam units, you may need to remove the trim screws and pull the trim off to reveal the Torx screws.
  • 5 Begin with you headlights turned on to the low beam. Use a Torx screwdriver for sealed beam units and Phillips screwdrivers for other types of headlights.

I just need to change the bulbs

if you are meaning to the headlights, you can remove the headlights by removing two bolts on each unit and expose the back of the bulb turning them counter clockwise frees them from the housing.

I need to change my headlights on my 1999 sunfire but i cant figure out how to get my headlight cap off.

My Wife Has a 01 Sunfire and if your is anything like hers. there's a plastic guard that sits on top it has aprox. 8 pull pins holding it in holding it down. Remove those pins and then there's 2 bolts on top side right behind the headlight remove those bolts then the whole light comes out.

On my 1999 grand am se my parking lights come on but my headlights dont???? even my fog lights come on but no headlights

The sensor should be on the dash some where on the drivers side or in the middle. Check the fuse for the headlights then try the sensor.
