The problem may not be wiring, but could be the way you replace the bulbs. Halogen headlamp get very hot, and when you replace the bulb you cannot touch the glass portion of the bulb. The oils on your skin will cause the bulb to overheat in the area of the touch and can cause premature failure, even causing them to burst.

What would cause the low beam headlight not to work when all other lights work?

If you have standard halogen bulbs:

  1. Burned out light bulb; or
  2. Fried wires between the dashboard wiring harness and the headlight bulb connectors; or
  3. Fried headlight bulb connectors.
If you have HEI emitters:
  • Failed ballast.

Low beams comeing on as DRL instead of high beams Drivers side high beam not working. already replaced bulbs and ideas

On some models of chevies, the DLRs can be changed from headlight tp parking lamps. If your vehicle offers this option then refer to owners manual to make adjustments.
If your using halagon bulbs and not sealed beam type of headlight bulb, your bulb burnout might be do to the way the bulb is installed. Do not touch the halagon bulb with your hands, as they leave an oily residue on the suface of the bulb, which leads to premature bulb burn out. Either wear a pair of gloves or hold the bulb with a papaertowel.
Hope this helps you

Both headlites are dim brites are fine

Headlights naturally become less bright over time. If the bulbs have not been replaced recently, I would start there. Look around the lamps for any damage, brittle wires/connectors, or signs of burning. If there is a wiring problem with headlights it is almost always right behind the bulbs.

I have a 2002 chevy impala and suddenly both headlights stopped working. They do not come on even when I pull out the light knob to turn them on manually. Everything else works fine including the high...

It's possible that both low beams have burned out. These modern bulbs are bright enough that sometimes you don't realize that one burned out, before the second one burns out.
You need to check for voltage at the headlight with a volt meter or test light. Or you can replace one bulb and see it works.
I suppose it's possible that a relay or fuse is out. You might check the owners manual for the fuse location.

How do I replace the highbeam headlight on a 2002 Impala?

There are headlight assemblies available on Ebay for as low as $50 each. I removed mine and drilled a couple 3/8" holes in the bottom to drain the water, and had no more problems.
The headlights are easy to remove. There are two white tabs on each light. Pull them up about 1/2" and the headlight can be pulled out straight forward (after unplugging the wires).

Signal flasher replacement for 94 impala ss

It is possible that one or more bulb is the wrong type. Make sure that all turn signal bulbs are the correct ones and have the same number on them (i.e. 1156;1157 etc.) You can look this up at an auto parts store, or have a sales representative look it up for you. If they are all the same, check all the light sockets for white residue, rust, and corrosion. Also check the wiring for frayed or burned (melted) insulation. Replace any damaged wires or sockets, or bulbs.
I hope this information helps you in fixing your lights. Thank you.
