I want to replace the spark plugs on a 2004 chevy cavalier

tell him to follow the plug wires to the plugs that will help him.change 1 plug at a time and make sure they are gapped properly.by doing 1 at a time he won`t get the firing orderly wrong by pulling all the plug wires off at the same time then scratch his head trying to figure out which wires to to which plug.i`ve seen it too many times and i charge extra to correct this problem.

Backfiring and constant miss firing, engine not running smoothly during idling and loud miss firing sound at exhaust at full throttle opening.

You have a timing problem. Check for loose/broken belts. also see if the distributer cap is worn out or cracked. Replace it if it looks worn out. Change spark plugs....
Sounds like a typical ignition problem. If your handy, you can do this all yourself.
Change plugs wires and distruber cap.

1990 Chevy cavalier is only running on 2 cylinders, My husband changed the spark plug wires and the coil case with no change to cylinders what could the problem be. It is a 4 cylinder and the engine is 1.8

well first you need to perform a compression test, this will tell you right up front of you have major engine trouble be it head gasket, camshaft, cylinder rings etc. First things first what do the spark plugs look like after it has benn running for a while??

Tuned up a 1993 chevy cavalier has spark won't start

Spray aerosol carb cleaner into the throttle body while an assistant tries to start the engine. If it runs for a few seconds then quits, you are not getting fuel into the engine. Check the fuses. You might have blown the fuse for the fuel injectors (possible if you removed any of the injector harnesses) or the fuel pump relay.

My cavalier won't start

Okay there should be a plug on there make sure it is pluged in all the way. If you have someone to help you pull one of the spark plugs out plug it in to the wire (Do Not Hold Wire with Bear Hands) use insulated pliers.try to start car if you don't see a spark from plug then it means that the coil pack is bad. If it does spark then it is possible thet it may be a fuel problem.
