95K ENGINE RECENTLY REPLACED WITH 55K ENGINE. 55 ENGINE BLEW VALVE AND REPLACED WITH ANOTHER ENGINE. RANDOMLY WHEN YOU ACCELERATE FROM STOP ENGINES SPUTTERS AND DIES. ALSO WHEN MOVING AND ACCELERATE TO HIGHER SPEED IT WILL SPUTTER AND DIE. DOES NOT DO THIS ALL THE TIME....JUST RANDOMLY. ANY IDEAS???? THANKS
Check your fuel filter, take an air compressor and blow air through the "in" end if no or little air is coming through then just replace the filter, if fuel filter is ok then try a fuel additive to clean your injectors which are a very common problem when the engine gets gunky build up on them

Depending on what engine you have, I know the 1.6 DOHC engine has the cam sensor right at the top front of the motor. You must make sure you have your timing belt serviced at the suggested intervals or you will have a large repair that you can't afford. The recommended service interval is 72,000 miles. If you do not have your belt changed at the service interval it will cost you upwards of 1,200 bucks to have it fixed after the valves are bent and need replacing.
check fuel pump pressure- fuel filter --air filter --egr valve if carboned up clean or replace and cat converter feel the exhaust if feels restricted may be clogging up
Get the codes checked. This will tell you what cylinder is causing the problem. If the wires and plugs didn`t help then you probably have a bad coil.Hope this helps.Good luck.
First (I"M starting to sound like a broken record on this) check the ground connections at both ends of the cable.(smaller body grounds as well) Make sure they are clean where they make contact with block and terminal post (not just on the outside.) Make sure hot wire is also clean and fastened correctly. Right now, we are trying to find out what it's not., Then, you can get to what it is.Often small stupid things can look like other larger problems.
have you replaced fuel filter? Actually you need to put on a diagnostics machine. When you accelerate its starving for fuel.
God Bless Greg
