Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

Head lights My battery light comes on in the dash, as well as my brakes. After trying to see what the problem could be I noticed the battery post to be loose. I tightened it up but the problem remained. I verified the first two fuses for the headlights and they are OK. Can you please give me an idea what it might be? I had the oil changed yesterday, and have a tendancy to blame Walmarts because I had no problems before that. Probably just a coincidence. Thanks, William

If the battery light is on you need to address that first, have the charging system tested, the light comes on when the system voltage falls below the battery voltage, this in effect reverses the ground on the dash light and it turns on.

Parking lights, tail lights, and dash lights dont work

i assume you have checked all lighting fuses. if you have not, start there. do you have brake lights? if you do have brake and head lights then i would suspect the dimmer/light switch.

Cant get my 1993 nissan altima out of park

is your battery dead? turn your headlights on. do they work? if not, then the battery is dead. your car will not come out of park unless the brake lights come on. if the batterys dead, the brake lights will not come on. try a boost from another car. another solution, brake light fuse is blown.look under the dash or on driverside dash panel for fuse panel. look for a brake kight fuse that's blown. have you tryed applying the brake pedal with car off to see if the brake lights come on?hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

High pitch sound coming from radio, dash lights and head lights

it could be a lot of problems from the battery, battery cabals to the alternater. check to see if the battery post are caroted and needs cleaning. if sow remove the battery cables off of the battery then you can use baking soda and water which will help remove the corotion and nutrliz the acid on the battery posts. then clean the battery post and battery cabel clamps with a wire brush. if it is not the battery post take the car to autozone and have them see if thay can test the battery and altrnater on the car to see if ether one of them needs to be replaced

All at once my dash lights showed me problems with my brakes and battery.
However, I found a loose wire on the battery which I fixed, and that didn't solve the problem.
I also noticed that my head ligjhts don't come on automatically when I start the engine, nor do my high beams come on.
