Re: gm 32 pin
Then you have a problem with the wires that were probably cut during that install from the previous owner, and you need to undo them and reconnect them again, cause they aren't staying connected. I am almost sure he cut something to cause this when all that needed to be done was to use a wiring connector made for his car to adapt to the new radio when it was replaced.

If you have brake lights, that switch is OK. The shifter release solenoid is built into the shifter. The whole shifter has to be replaced. It could be the wiring. Usually not though. Most times t is that high dollar shifter.

According to my parts guide, the fuel pump for your 97 Olds Aurora fits only that and the 97 Buick Riviera's and nothing else. The pump for a 99 Park avenue comes up as a different part number. Hope this helps!

They are all random codes that are stored in the radio. The radio can lock it's self with possible 10.000 differant codes. You will need to take it to the dealer to have them use the gm scaner to retreive the code that is in the radio then they call the gm headquarters and those egg heads give an unlock code for the car. All of the make since?
I have had this problem with my 98 aurora and have replaced all the same components. Temp gauge routinely shows 200 on highway (Fine) but in the city in stop and go will get to around 245. I installed a switch to manually turn on the cooling fans by connecting the ground to pin 86 in the relay for the fan(s). Otherwise the fans will not turn on to 245. This fix works but would like to know an actual solution.
