Hard shifting into reverse with a 2002 buick century

Car makes loud bang when shifting into reverse when cold it improves when car warms up. I have noticed with the hood up that the engine seems to jump around during the shifting into reverse. Could it be motor/transmission mounts? Thank you.

The motor will shift around a bit when shifting gears on the motor. My first suspicion is that the transmission could use a flush and new fluid in it. This would be the most economical first step.
If the problem does not improve after a transmission flush, I would suggest having a reputable mechanic take a peak at the issue.

2002 buick century brakes will lock after it has been parked for 5 min or 5 hrs and will not move until I go from forward to reverse several time. Intermittent but frustrating.

While I don't have a specific solution to your complaint, I did find a site that lists many, many service bulletins related to braking problems on the 2002 Buick Century. Why not take a look to see if any of these complaints sound like yours.

I have a 2002 Buick Century and my heater will blow air but only heats air occasionally.

If you know where the heater hoses are, lift the hood after car has warmed up I mean the engine running for at least five minutes, feel the heater hoses, if they are warm or hot and still no heat from the heater, you have an in line proiblem. if hoses remain cold, replace the thermostat with a winter thermostat.

You might want to check the ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor) It could be defective and telling the PCM (car's computer) that the engine coolant is cold all the time.
