Question about 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

My 2005 Chevy Equinox won't start!

My brother and I were trying to install an alarm and keyless entry system. We were working with the ignition and we had no toruble at all. We hooked things bac up and I breezed down the road. Today we connect two more wires and ZAAAAPP!!!! The car cranks but it won't start. We've noticed that the fuel hand stays on empty (but we can hear the fuel injectors actuate). At this point we have no clue and I'm going to either have it towed and fixed at a mint though I feel it's something easy.

All,

The resolution was that my brother had tried to unscrew each of 3ea bolts fastening the fuse panel (the one located beneath the hood) in order to remove the protective plastic casing [the one that says 'remove and discard to access the fuse panel"] you find following the removal of outer covering. Well after replacing the 30A ignition fuse he had blown by arching the positve lead to the chassis or something the car still would not start. It would not start because he never retightened the fuse panel. So the 'starter fuse' checked out good but there was no connectivity to that side of the circuit. That'll get you every time.

How do you turn off an alarm for a 2005 Saturn Ion

Disarming an Armed System/Silencing an Alarm
If system arming has been requested by the keyless entry transmitter, it must be disarmed.
Important: Using the power door unlock switch or manually unlocking the doors does not disable the CTD armed mode. Also, disconnecting the battery or pulling fuses does not disable the armed mode, since the BCM stores the CTD mode status in memory.
?€¢
To disarm the CTD system in arm pending mode, SECURITY indicator flashing and doors open, perform 1 of the following:

-
Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

-
Insert a valid key into the ignition and start the vehicle.

?€¢
To disarm the CTD system in the armed mode:

-
Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

-
Insert a valid key into the ignition and start the vehicle.

?€¢

Press the UNLOCK button on the keyless entry transmitter.

2004 Hyundai Elantra won't start, emergency flashers keep blinking, can't shut off, lights dim, can't jump start, clicking from under dash from relays. What could it be?

The 'Keyless Entry & Burglar Alarm System" is activated. You must 'Disarm' the system using the Keyless Entry Remove (Key Fob) to "Reset" the system. The reason the engine won't start is due to the burglar alarm - it has a "Starter Kill" circuit which is activated when the alarm is activated. The alarm must be DEactivated to DEactivate the 'Starter Kill' circuit.
Another way to start the engine is to get in the car, put the key in the ignition and turn it to 'ON" and wait 3 to 5 minutes until the emergency flashers stop/turn off. Afterward, you should be able to start the engine. NOTE: This does NOT reset the burglar alarm. It will go off again when you enter the vehicle without using the remote/key fob.

2002 chevy malibu wont start i think it is the anti theft system.

If this is so then it is defeating OFF the power to the ignition system. Check the power to the ignition system or check to reset the theft alarm if this was activated. Using the keyless remote and the ignition key into the holder reset the qalarm if this has tripped with a false entry.
If not check the fuel and ignition for the failure of command from the ECM.

Had car starter installed now the passlock light stays on. He took the key out while the vehicle was running. They disconnected the battery and hooked back up but that did not work.

Remote starter

i worked as a chevy mechanic for many years, it sounds like your keyless entry module needs to be reprogrammed, only problem is, it takes a $4000 and a subscription to GM's service site. which most don't have, so its easier to just take it in to the dealer, however before they start working on it have them check for recalls on the programming, chevy releases reprograms on the computer systems every couple months to solve issues like this, if your van has an open reprogram on it, then the dealer will reprogram it for no charge. but make sure you have them check for open bulletins before they put any labor into finding the problem, you may get out with no bill at all if so.

2006 Chevy Equinox

Hiya...the factory-installed keyless remote control are installed in most Equinoxes IF SO equipped with this option that year.
However, it's difficult to get "true factory-installed" keyless feature in your Equinox ....but new 2008-2009 Equinoxes built this year now comes with standard keyless remote and yes, new option is remote STARTER feature (that option is identified by a black wire found inside the rear-right quarter window with thin metal line surrounding that interior window to receive signal from remote starter fob)

At least you can find after-market keyless remote control at your local retail store.
