Question about 1994 Honda Civic

94 honda civic lost remote

Is it possible to disconnect the alarm/immobiliser and replace the central locking system rather than getting a new remote from Honda which they say will cost at least £80 + £150 to retune?

You can still retain the central locking system just buy a new aftermarket alarm system in which will cost cheaper.

Lost remote car alarm

speak nicely to honda dealer and see if the remote fob was recorded whenthe car was new.
The dealer may have software to get the info from your car, or, possibly phone an Auto locksmith ... they should be able to supply you with a new fob (prob who the dealer use anyway).
Do not try to by pass the immobiliser system....its doing its job!
Cheers

My 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid alarm system is no longer responding to the remote control after changing the battery in the remote control. Any ideas on what might be the problem.

Try locking and unlocking the doors with the key to see if it will reset the security system.
It is possible a relay could cause this...there are many relays and computers in this hybrid system

Imobiliser problem

If im not mistaken, your car should have an alarm reset/override.Below the steering column,on the dash should be a slot where you put your remote transmitter to deactivate the alarm. If that works, you then need to have your remote checked and coded by a vw dealer.Good luck.

Central locking not working with key. Can hear locking motors using remote but does not actuate door locks.

try to check your door lock/car alarm fuse if still good.
if it's still working you have to check the driver seat door if there was no parts of your power door broken.
