If you have never done this kind of work before, buy an aftermarket service manual to guide you. Timing belts or chains improperly installed will cause rather expensive damage to an engine if, as most are, yours is an 'interference' engine, meaning that the valves and pistons can contact (and damage) each other if the cam timing is wrong.
Haynes or Chilton will have them available for your car and the $17-$30 is a good price for the amount of info you then will have. Most all auto parts stores will have them available.

Does one have to change the timing belt of a Hyundai tuscon 2006 model. I

Scheduled Maintenance Services, for most Cars, has to be done at 30K, 60K, and 90K. Hyundai dealer recommend to replace the timing belt at 60K Service.
If you wait, one of two things could happen: Nothing, or the belt could break and you would be out thousands to repair the engine instead of a $400 hundred to replace just the belt. If it breaks, there will be damage done to the valves and various other internal components, which will not covered under warranty. The problem is that the Dealer would charge you between $700-$800 because they would also replace the water pump at the same time. Or you can buy the timing belt and change it by your self. To do so, you nee the Haynes Repair Manual specific for your car another equivalent.

Does the 2002 hyundai santa fe have an interference engine? It has a 2.4L 4-cylinder.

Hi:
All of the engines in Hyundai santa fe are interference engines, so you should regularly change your timing belt. The timing belt also drives the water pump, so it is always a good idea to change that too, if you have the engine apart for the timing belt. Here is a link to check out!

Need to know how to check the timing for 1997 Hyundai Accent Gt!

Not sure why he would tell you the engine has to be taken out to set the timing. If he means the timing belt is wore out and needs to be changed, you can change the belt without pulling the engine. The engine cant be timed. It is set automatically.

Im replacing timing belt, accessory belts and water pump on my hyundai elantra gls 1997 sta wgn auto transmission. (1)Where is bolt to drain engine block coolant?(2)After removing front engine mountin

(1) No need to know if engine block coolant drain plug was available. Once the water pump was removed, all engine block coolant was drained. (2) After removing the three engine mounting bracket bolts, I also removed the mount bracket from the the body and made enough room to replace the timing belt easier.
