There is a relay, a fuse and most of the time a reset switch some where on the vehicel. check for the switch. when you find it and reset it and it should start working again. if not pull your full tank and check all your electrical fittings and connections. before you remove the tank reach in between the tank and blazer body and diss connect your fuel lines and other connections to your fuel pump. after you get your tank down pull your pump. becareful not to break it. you dont want to replace it if it is not bad. after you get it out rig up a ground and power wire to a battery to test it. becareful you can short out the pump if you do it wrong. it will eather work or it wont.

1998 chevy blazer fuel pump wont shut off how do

I don't think you can on that vehicle-probably not a code, anyway. Check the fuel pump relay, it may be stuck on. Should be located in the power distribution box under hood. Pull it out-pump should stop-swap in a different relay to test. If pump still runs on with new relay, the wiring to the relay needs checked.

Once i get the feul pump out of the tank of my 1998 chevy blazer how do i get to the pump inside the white cylynder

Your first problem is that somebody sold you the wrong fuel pump. The fuel pump that is supposed to work in your 1998 Chevrolet Blazer is available only as a complete fuel pump module assembly. The "pump only" kits are for the "old school" systems (cica 1980s / early 1990s) that run on much lower pressure and will not work with your vehicle.

I have a 98 Chev. Blazer. While driving at approx. 80kph.the engine quit suddenly.no sputter or noise of any kind. When I turn on the key the fuel pump runs (slightly different sound than before) but...

check your fuel pressure it should be 55-61 psi with key on engine off.It should have a fitting on the fuel rail to hook a gauge up to.If below specs replace pump.

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4.3 Vortech that will not start.

You may want to check your fuel regulator and check your injectors. Had the same issue with a 96 and replaced the whole CSFI spider assembly with a MFI spider assembly and problem was solved.

1998 blazer will not start

there is a tube system on the vortec under the mainfold the delivers the fuel called the spider and these are known to start leaking on higher mile engines, if there is any fuel in the engine oil you need to fix asap or bearings will get ruined and engine will be needing rebuild.

Blazer takes forever to start

Have you done a leak down test on the fuel pump? If the pump check valve doesn't hold pressure the fuel drains back to the fuel tank, then you have prime the lines with fuel before any is delivered to the injectors, hence a long crank time. Install a fuel pressure guage and start the engine, then turn off the engine and wait overnightm the system should not loose more than 5 PSI
