Where is the fuse for cigarette lighter on 2001 bonneville

Check these two fuses. Fuse number 31 in fuse box location 4, if cigarette lighter, radio and clock. Else fuse number 5 in fuse box location 2, if only radio and clock and not cigarette lighter.

The fuse is or should be located at 9a in your fuse box. This is for the 96, but, there shouldn't be much difference for 1year. Your fuse box cover should also have a listing of what each space is used for.

Under the dash and it is B 9

The cigarette lighter fuse is the fuse that is marked "CIG" in the fuse block in the left end of the instrument panel. (Also see picture)

The cigarette lighter fuse is located in the instrument panel fuse block located under the left end of the instrument panel. It is a 20 Amp fuse and is marked "CIG". (See Illustration)

It sounds like you have a bad charging cable for the GPS or the cable is overloading the cigarette lighter.

The cigarette lighter is designed for less power then a 12v power outlet.

Therefore it is easy to blow the fuse for the cigarette light if you install something that draws too much power.

either the fuse is bad, or the wire fell of the plug. The plug can be pulled straight out to look at the back where it plugs in to the wire.

There are 2 possible areas. 1 is the fuse box beside your left foot. 2 would be in the engine compatment on the right.

The fuse for the cigarette lighter is the 15 amp CIG fuse. According to my wiring book, the fuse box is either behind the console, passenger side for US cars, or under the dash, driver side.
