    Sorry if I'm late.

    To remove the cooler lines.

slide the Plastic cover of the fitting.

And you will see a C - Clip ring around the fitting. Remove the C-clip or ring..

And the line will come out with a little force.

SOURCE: i am pulling a tranny

Hello Lora.

There are two locating pins that are for making sure the transmission and the engine are aligned.
These pins fit quite tight and will often seize in the holes.
If all the bolts are removed you may need to use a little force to separate the two halves.
Spray a little rust remover agent on the locating pins and let it soak.
Wiggle the transmission vigorously (make sure it doesn't fall on you).
If that doesn't loosen it you may need to pry them apart.
If you would like a little more help, ask me here in comments.
Thank you.

Transmission line is leaking where it goes into trany how do i change it they are on top of trany

You will need to let the tranny down, unfortunately. BUT, it doesn't need to come out. You didn't mention if yours is 2 or 4wd, so I'll give a hint on both. Remove the rear driveshaft on a 2wd, and put your floor jack under the rear crossmember. Take the bolts out of the crossmember and slowly let it down. The tranny will drop more than enough to see if you need to replace any lines or fittings, as well as give you room to do that.

4wd is a little more work, but take BOTH drive shafts out and put the jack under the transfer case. remove any bolts holding it to the frame, then let it down. Everything else will go same as a 2wd.

Another way to access the top of the tranny, is to cut a door in the floorboard above the lines. Not recommended on a nicer machine, but works on older beater trucks!

I hope this was helpful to you.

Is thier a way to take a tranny out without dropping the frame

NO. the bottom frame must be removed, it alot of work to remove the tranny on a ford taurus, you will need a top engine support also, this will hold the engine and trany inplace to remove the frame and then you lower this to remove tranny. good day.

How do i remove the transmission from a 2001 ford taurus

this is a big job,you will need to dissconnect the battery, then you will need an engine support bar to hold and lower the engine from the top. you will have to remove the battery and the bracket and also airbox, next is to raise the car and remove the wheels and then seperate the lower balljionts on both sides, remove the axle nuts and remove the axles. then remove the swaybar ends, next is to put engine support on the top of the engine and then remove the frame from under the engine and trany, before the frame can come out you will need to remove the exhaust system and also unbolt the steering rack from the steering shaft, make sure to lock wheel so it doesnt turn, remove lines from rack, when you remove the lower frame the steering rack and all the frnot end componets like the swaybar and lower control arms will come out with the frame you will need to unbolt the front and rear engine mounts, leave the trany mount bolted for now, after the frame is out you will then remove the bolt on the trany mount, this is the mount where the battery sits at the rear of the tranny, lower the engine slowly and just a bit. next is to remove the starter and flywheel covers, you will then remove the converter bolts that hold the flywheel to converter on tranny, next is to remove the tranny bbolts, make sure to leave one bolt on for is to lower engine support enough so that the tranny has enough room to come out, next install tranny jack under tranny and remove last bolt holding it,then pry away from engine always checking to make sure all bolts are out and also all wire connections unhooked, like wiring harness to tranny and selector switch connector and speedometer connection, and tranny will seperate and then you slowly lower to ground, to install reverse directions. good day.
