The service person at Bill Penny Toyota States that the required 30,000 mile maintenance will cost $495 minus the replacement of the Cabin Filter which was replace at the 15,000 mile service. No Spark Plug replacement is required for this Schedule Maintenance.. THanks for the Assistance..

Yes.
My dealership charges about $325.00 for a 30K. Please describe what services that they are providing that would justify $500.00. That is out of line, IMHO.

SO, they are charging you for these services:

Replace engine oil and oil filter Rotate tires Replace limited-slip differential oil, if equipped (4WD and PreRunner) Replace spark plugs Re-torque propeller shaft bolt Replace engine air filter Replace cabin air filter (if equipped)

AND, they are charging you to "LOOK" at this stuff.

Inspect the following: Automatic transmission fluid Ball joints and dust covers Brake lines and hoses Brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs Drive shaft boots (4WD) Engine coolant Exhaust pipes and mountings Front differential oil (4WD) Fuel lines and connections, fuel tank band and fuel tank vapor vent system hoses Fuel tank cap gasket Radiator, condenser and/or intercooler Rear differential oil Steering gear box Steering linkage and boots Transfer case oil (4WD)

Shop for another dealership. $500.00 is too much for this. Maybe if you had a Ferrari, but not a Tacoma. Simple as that.

Still too expensive, in my opinion.

Looking at their Service Specials on the Internet, all of their prices seem very high. The only price they offer that is "in line" with "normal" pricing is their "top end cleaning".

What does service c mean in a mercedes r class

It means that it is time for the car to receive it's scheduled maintenance. Different Maintenances - A - B - C - cover different items. Maintenence is usually alternating, 13k miles, C Maintenance, 26k miles A maintenace, 39k miles C Maintenace again etc...

The C Maintence tells you and your service center what services to perform. Your local Mercedes dealer can tell you what exactly is invlolved in the C Maintenance for a 2006 E Class.

Bring up the FSS and check what service items are listed for the "C" service. The "C" only means that approx 3 hrs are required to perform the service. If the car is still under warranty, I believe the oil & filter will be free and the rest of the stuff will cost. Here's some instructions (PDF format).

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer and leave some testimonial about this free answer).

I wanted to know what type of services I need done to my 2005 ford focus to keep it in good running condition.

Most of the dealers recommend Scheduled Maintenance Services at 30K, 60K, and 90K.
At 60K the coolant has to be replaced with a new one, to avoid a corroded radiator or partially clodged heater core. Radiator Flush. The air filter. The spark plugs has to be replaced with the original OEM. The transmission oil starts breaking at 30000 miles and has to be changed at 60K. This is the best insurance for the transmission of your car. It is optional but, it is recommended to flush the breaking system too. This protect the ABS system from corrosion. Do not forget to replace brake bleeding nipples with new one. They are cheap, and avoid costly problems in the future.
The EGR valve has to be inspected.
The last and most expensive service is the timing belt change between 60000miles to 100000miles.

Have 62,000 miles and am being told i need 60,000 mile service $500 and timing belt replaced another $500. this seems a little excessive?

Timing belt can be done cheaper than that, shop around - the 60,000 mile service is a FULL service, all fluids are changed, everything is tested - it is very important, probably the most important service a car will have - but $1000 is extortion! - shop around, ask your friends where they got the best deal on servicing.
I'd say $50 for the belt, $100 for the fluids oil etc, $300 labor charge - servicing is a striaghtforward task - empty old fluid, throw away oil filter, swap cambelt, fit new filter, refill the fluids, run diagnostics, test drive, back to customer, shouldn't cost $1000 for $150 of parts/fluids and 3 hours work...

I dont wont to 500 dollars to get a 30000 mile check up is there a cheaper way

You can certainly reduce the cost of the check up if you have the skills and knowledge to do some of the work yourself.

Basic jobs like checking and adjusting the fluid levels, tyres, and replacement of lube, filters and spark plugs are all relatively straightforward. Checking the brake discs (US=rotors) & pad wear/replacement is a bit more involved but easy if you know how and have the tools and experience. Many other things though including the service interval reset, emissions check/adjust and engine adjustments have to be done by a correctly equipped garage.

Consider this carefully though as you clearly aren't a qualified motor mechanic so DIY servicing will invalidate your warranty and very significantly reduce the resale value of your Mustang. You can shop around though to see if you can get a better price but $500 for a major 30k mile service on a car like yours seems pretty cheap already.

2007 toyota camry solara, 30,000 mile maintenance, how much should this cost, what needs to be performed?

In reality, all you really need to do is spark plugs, distributor cap, oil change. It is recommended that you change coolant if it's not the long life coolant (orange is long life), flush your transmission. Recommended does not mean have to do, but it won't hurt. The dealer will probably charge you anywhere from $400 to $1000 depending on what they say you should have done.
