Question about 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

1997 Chevy Blazer S10 - heater smells

I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer S10 - the problem started end of last winter. When I would turn on the heat it was fine until I switched the fan control to a low setting, then there was this smoke that would come out from the vent area and is smelled horrible. I took it to my local mechanic and he couldn't get it to do what it did for me. So, it happened again, and only for me. They then replaced the head gasket (that was in real bad shape) and cleaned everything else up and checked it out - but still no results to my problem - they can't figure it out. Then this summer, my air conditioner wouldn't work - so I was stuck with no air this summer and now I am afraid that I will have no heat this winter - Please help! The blazer is in the shop right now for inspection (passed) but then would not start right - so they told me that I need a fuel pump. Please Help! Any solutions or ideas?

Where is the location of the blower motor resistor on a 1997 Chevy S10 Blazer?

Under the dash panel in the heater box on the passenger's side next to the blower motor, it's held in by 2 screws.

1997 chevy s10 blazerdash wont light up when key

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!

2001 Chevy s10 with no heat

If you are certain there is no air in the coolant system, then there is a chance that the blend door motor is not working or the heater control assembly is bad. since you have replaced your own heater core you probably noticed the the doors inside the heater core housing. One of those doors is controlled by the "hot/cold" knob. The motor on that door could bad.
