Hi it sounds like your headgaskets blown you need to take your rad cap off fill with water start the engine see if you see any bubbles in the water or if the water blows straight out its a good indication the headgaskets gone the thing on the right hand side is the expansion tank overflow if this blows water out even when cold the headgaskets gone if you see no bubbles in the water change your thermostat the two fans on the rad have nothing to do with your a/c if that doesn,t work may need pressurising yates210456

I have a 99 grand cherokee limited 4.7 that overheats when on the hwy

Sounds perfect to me. The fan sound is normal for a clutch fan. The temps are just not too high at all. Remember, the system has two main points that make the temp okay: Coolant (in the right amount) and PRESSURE. Both seriously raise the boiling point.

At even higher temperatures, Eventually, you should hear the fan kick in, as loud as when cold..This REALLY moves air through the rad and should curtail any overheat.

Sealed radiator on top - radiator hose has blown off twice - not overheating HELP

aluminum radiator
plastic top and base seal
tanks held in with crimps on aluminum radiator

find a local radiator shop to replace top seal and top plastic part
of that radiator
not as expensive as a new radiator

replace the thermostat

pressure is too much on that crack for any diy repair product

pop off hose at the wrong time =cook the motor

BMW 1998 528I major overheating issues.

Radiators leak and break easily on the 528i. Also, there are bleed screws that are plastic that can sheer off and create a leak on the two main hoses.
Or, the guy who did your head gasket didn't check it for cracks, so it's leaking into the cylinder chamber and burning out.

Hey try checking you radiator plugs (2) at the bottom right corner make sure its not stripped. Also if the radiator in plastic on the top and very bottom but iron or aluminum in the middle you will have to check really careful where the plastic and aluminum join together could hair a hairline crack but once you start the car and it get hot and pressurize then its runs out fast. Hope this helps I have a 93 accord also..for 12 years now and still doing well..Ed
