headlights are both dim and when brights are turned on,passenger side goes completely out.Tried new truview headlights and they are dimmer than original. Checked for loose/bad ground(s) and checked fuses and relays as well.no problems there. Any suggestions?

battery never been dead and always start on the first try
Ignore what I said above..here is a better version of the headlight issue.
This one is a mess. Great little carbought a year ago. Whoever had it before me had installed a aftermarketcruise control which worked for a few months then stopped working.About the same time (I am GUESSING about the same time) normalheadlight functions went south. When the headlights are turned on theyonly come on VERY dim (Right one slightly brighter then the left). Thebrights work fine. The car does not have Day Time Lights (as they do goall the way off).
I have checked the fuses and what wiring I can for the cruise control(which I do not care about) The guy who put in the CC seemed to do agood job but there is a lot of new wiring for the CC that does notmatch the wiring diagram and the two issues may not have anything to dowith each other. Haynes Manuals are no help. HELP!! Thanks in Seattle
Same problem here. 1994 Model...both lights very dim all the time. I do think that I have Day Time Running lights installed as they do NOT go off at all just on dim all the time (headlight switch does nothing. Could the DTRL resistor or module (assuming it has one) be bad?? Manual and tec manual no help at all.
if that is the case i believe your altenator is bad and draining the battery the altenator runs the engine and charges the battery the battery starts the vehicle and runs all the electronics and accessories the regulator is not working and therefore the battery is not getting charged and as the vehicle is running and the lights are on they will get dimmer and dimmer until there is no voltage left in the battery. reploace the altenator and the problem will go away...please rate this

sir that doesn't mean that the altenator is not bad just because your battery has not drained completely please change the rating you asked for a suggestion this is insulting
