I havea 1990 f 250. It was running stalled out like it was out of gas. We put gas but no luck. I've changed fuel pump,computer,map sensor, plugs, throttle body,inertia switch,ignition switch,distributor,fuel filter,fuel pressure regulator,fuel pump and ecm relays. After all this still no luck in getting truck running.

try the fuel filter...if not maybe map sensor...coolant sensor or the tpi...air filter or vacume leak can be other causes...

starter bendix sticking maybe

1st move is to ck the fuel PSI & emissions. Possible cooling system cause.Scan computer & check sensor readings & the emissions readings are the first moves. Check spark plugs, ignition spark etc. Good luck

Let's get The terminology right to start out with. If the engine turns it cranks so you have a crank no start. Am I correct? Make sure you have spark. If no spark check your crank sensor located in the bell housing (transmission). Make sure you got fuel injector pulse, fuel pressure.

You replace sparkplugs,plug wire,tps,map,cap and rotor.Thats good,If the vehicle runs and you come to a stop and it stalls,That is the IAC (Idle air control) you say it ran fine for a week now its acting up, Service the IAC or get it replaced.

you could have a fuel pump problem not putting out enough pressure.have the pressure checked with a gage.how long has it been since the fuel filter was changed.you could also have sensor problem like the tps(throttle position sensor)or a bad map sensor.check for codes in the computer and look at the data display while the car is running.it could also be a plugged exhaust system that will need a back pressure test done.just some place to start.

On electronic fuel injection pumping an pumping an pumping the gas pedal does nothing without the engine running ! Pushing the gas pedal to the floor will cause the PCM - engine computer to go into clear flood mode .

The vehicle will go into closed loop fuel control when the engine coolant temp reaches a definded temp an the O2 sensor get hot.

She would run for a couple minutes and die which is open loop when running, closed loop is when the sensors kick and it would die. Pulled spark plugs, they were black meaning no spark. Can only be 2

Black spark plugs indecate a rich condition , over fueled , wet spark plugs indecate no spark .

I put a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and a fuel pump relay and the fuel pump is still not coming on. I am not getting any fuel. Can you please tell me what it might be.
