Is a 92 corolla fuel injected and is a 1990 corolla a carby

Those are both fuel injected. The 1992 is a multi-port injection system (one per cylinder), while the 1990 is throttle body injection- one or two injectors inside the throttle body assembly -which looks like a carburetor, but it isn't.

What's the function of the throttle body?

The throttle body is an air intake valve that controls air flow into the engine on vehicles with direct injection (rather than carburetors which use a series of valves). When the throttle is engages the throttle body opens up allowing for more air to mix with the injected fuel before compression and ignition. This increases the force of the explosion by giving it the correct amount of oxygen. http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/TBM/tb01.jpg

Engen problem and missing

Sir, your question is not very clear, but I will still try to post a solution here. Engine missing could be due to any problem in fuel system, ignition system, engine or ECM as well.

LOW ENGINE IDLE SPEED (Poor idling):
-Throttle body (do the cleaning and idle speed learning)
-A /C signal circuit
-Fuel pump control circuit
-Fuel pump
-Intake system
-P C V valve (clogged or open) and hose

ROUGH IDLING:
-Cylinder Compression
-Ignition system (Igniters, spark plugs, wiring harness)
-Spark plug fouled, gap too wide or too short. (1.00-1.1 mm)
-Fuel injector circuit
-E C M power source circuit
-Fuel pump control circuit
-Fuel pump (required pressure 44 psi - 49 psi)
-Throttle body (cleaning)
-Intake system
-P C V valve and hose
-Air fuel ratio sensor
-Heated oxygen s ens or
-Mass air flow meter
-Idle hunting
-Throttle body
-Intake system
-P C V valve and hose
-Air fuel ratio sensor
-Mass air flow meter

HESITATION/ POOR ACCELERATION:
-Fuel pump control circuit
-Fuel pump
-Spark plug
-Ignition system
-Fuel injector circuit
-E C M power source circuit
-Mass air flow meter
-Throttle body (do cleaning)
-Intake system
-Valve timing
-Cylinder Compression

Fuel Injection Problem

Is your cat. convertor blocking up? If it is this condition, it could very well be the problem. Disconnect the convertor start the car & see if it takes the gas well. If it does, change the cat. convertor. Good luck!

Where are the fuel injectors located at on a 1991 cavalier with a 2.2 motor

Is the car fuel injected? you sure it doesn't have throttle body injection? if it is point injection you will see the silver fuel rail right on top of the engine, going into the head. If it's throttle body it will only have 1 injector on top of the carb(or throttle body).

Throttle Problem

Well 2002 will be port injected,so the throttle body only adjust air flow.Try cleaning Mass Air Flow Sensor and replacing your fuel filter.Make sure that your air filter is clean. If you havn't had a tune up in 100,000 miles then it's time.It could be the TPS ,but would try the others first.Well hope this helps, and good luck.
