Hi there. I am going to assume that when you say it is cracked that you are refering tot he nose cone as being cracked. If that is the case, it generally means that it is not being shimmed when installed. When you get a replacement starter it will come will a flat metal looking bracket and it needs to be installed with that starter.

I have seen two window motors go out within a couple of days of each other. If you know the relay is doing its job, then its time to find your local pick-an-pull.

Ford 86 xf won't turn over, have tried spark

check for a blown fuse, and check your battery cables to see that they are properly conected to the starter.

Of coarse it does. The battery was probably okey. The Alternator has nothing to do, with starting a vehicle, but the solenoid on the starter does.
Pull the starter and put on a new solenoid.

1988 F150 cranks / turns when trying to start but will not fire. it gets fuel, coil , ignition module changed, ingition unit on steeing wheel under dash has also been changed. acts like no combustion is...

no combustion or no compression? timing chain broke? you did not supply enough info about what you tested.or how. remove a spark plug wire if you dont like shcks take an old spark plug two alligator clips and a piece of wire attatch to the hex metal body of this old plug and connect the wire you just removed run the starter while watching for strong!!! spark.you can have a weak spark and no start=bad coil.i think but maybe wrong that this vehicle still uses aignition module located somewhere on the fender.find a parts locator maybe at the library. this module was aproblem for decades.have fun.

My 1988 ford f250 diesel will not start. and it will not start on starter flued too

Check under the dash and see if you can find a fuse that controls the pcm and fuel heater. Change fuse if blown.
Glow plug relay is a problem with that year up to 1994 but it is warm enough out at this time of year it shouldn't effect it .
Check lift pump to ensure adequate pressure. This has me a little stumped ? I am leaning towards a blown fuse.

If I understand you correctly your vehicle will still start but bogs down...If this is the case have the catalytic converter checked if it is plugged this would cause the same conditions as you described.....
