Question about 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
TRY wiggling the ignition key when it is acting up. you may have an ignition switch not passing current all the way thru system.also check your battery cables and make sure they are clean these are bad about corrosion acid will leak down inside cable and corrode entire cable. this si not a "common" problem so i dont have any ready solution for you. check this out and we will go from there
