Hi if the lights are working and don,t go dim when you try to turn it over it suggusts the battery should have enough to start it so the problem lies either faulty starter [test by making a make shift wire from the live terminal on your battery to the starter small wired terminal remove the wire first] this should operate the starter if so you need to find the starter relay and listen to see if it clicks when you turn the starter key it should if it does nt check the ignition switch by lowering the cowel to gain access to the switchs wiring find the wire that goes live only when the key is in the start position if thats there then the switch is ok obviousley if none as the things mentioned don,t do as stated they are faulty a bad ground connection on the engine or the battery will cause the same problem just clean them up yates210456

I tried to start my Sonoma, but no crank. Lights, battery seem fine, but depressing the clutch yield no crank

Make sure you push down hard on the clutch just for grins then, does the engine just click, click, click? If it does the battery is not dead but it is down enough so that it wont start your car. If all the above is true/right whatever all you need to do is charge the battery. If the above is NOT true/right I need more information. Text me back and I\'ll try to help.......................Bob

Whats pulling the battery down and causing my 2002 blazer not to turn over

Is the battery new? Does it start fine until it sits overnight? Have you checked the alternator? Does the battery have sufficient cold cranking amps, dead cell? Is an interior light staying on, glove box light? Do you have an aftermarket stereo with an amp?

Cold morning car wont start

If the anti-theft light is flashing, turn the key to the On position and leave it there until the light stops flashing. Turn the key off, then try to start the car. The Anti-Theft system can get tripped for no reason and cause this exact problem.

Grand Prix wont start

Antitheft failure can cause a "no start" situation. Look for a light in the dash that says security or antitheft. If you see that light, go to this link

Ran fine changed battery now it wont crank or start.1995 Chrysler Concorde

I am a strong believer of the KISS therory, so lets start on the most likely. When you replaced the battery, did you also clean the battery cable connections? If not that is the most likely cause! If not, suggest you get jump your car to make sure where the problem is. If it starts with the jump start then it is in the battery system - battery, battery cables, alternator.

The battery seems strong. at first it the starter "clicked" continuously but would not engage. After several times, it now clicks once and the dashboard lights flash while the key is engaged.

If your battery is dead thats how it does, Just clicking, But if you are sure the battery is strong then Take a hammer and tap little bit on the starter while somebody is cranking or just tap on it then crank it yourself. Good luck

I have a 1998 chrysler concorde and installed an aftermarket stereo. before installing this stereo the car cut off and wont cut back on.there is a full charge battery and lights come on but the car won't...

If no engine cranking (Turning over) then starter / battery / wiring fault. If ignition lamps work with key on and DO NOT DIM when starter is activated = faulty starter or wiring to it. If lights dim and chattering / click is heard = flat faulty battery.

1991 honda civic si starting problem

have you check the ground wire from your negative wire to battery post? check to see the battery is strong. if it doesn't turn over the engine or crank the engine mean no good ground to the cables. if the car ran fine I dont understand why the car wont crank or turn the motor over it just quit. if the battery check out strong 12 V, starter serenoid may be faulty on your starter or it may be hot and will not turn starter over.
