I had the same problems. Was under extended warranty and dealer replaced the switches located on the driver door. Then about couple of months later same thing but window would not go all the way up. Dealer said It needed the whole part that goes inside door and lets up window. Both driver and passenger went at same time. Buy that time extended warranty over and dealer said it was wear and tear. Go figure. I am the onlly one in car most of time and do not put down passenger window and just when I go to drive through do I put down driver. Cost me $350 and fixed driver window. Do not have money yet to fix passenger. so I drive around with a piece of take on the inside on window close to bottom to hold window up. My daughter has a GM suv and just got her passenger window fix with same problem I had. Must be a GM problem.

Check under the hood. There is also a fuse panel there. It should be on the right hand side and will have relay's as well.

If all fuses appear to be good then it is most likely a relay. Check your relay's.

Need to get a wiring diagram. Buy a book and follow the wiring schematic. It should help you out majorly. Can't really work on electrical issues without one.

Electric windows won't roll down or up

Could be the master switch in the driver's door, a fuse or relay.

I have a 99 Ranger. Fuse blows before I get it in box. But right now my windows don't roll up or down. One headlight won't come on and it does work on brights. Any ideas would be appreciated!

The headlight may have a bad filament.
Do you know what that fuse is for? It's got to be a short (broken wire touching metal) in that circuit. Is it for the windows?
For the windows: pull off the inner panel for access to the master switch on driver's door. Look for one hot wire going to the power window switch, with key on. If no power is found at switch, check the wires going into door-maybe broke or frayed. If you have power at the switch, it's likely a bad switch or bad ground for the window circuit, because I doubt if both window motors failed at the same time. Good luck, and find what's blowing that fuse. Where it goes.

Driver window won't roll up and passenger wont roll down where are the fuses for these windows located?

the window fuses are in the fuse box
but i don't think that's the problem if a window will roll up but not down
or down but not up/////
open the driver door you will see a rubber tube going from the door to
the door jam open the rubber up ill bet you find a few broken wires
all you need to do is splice them back together

if you don't find any brakes in the fuse box the windows are setup
on breakers they might be bad Thar's always a first for every thing

hope this helps you
good luck

My automatic windows wont roll up .. i dont know which fuse or number the information is not in the owner guide book i have !!! w t f

it is in the owner manual. look up fuses in the index. Unless you have the small quick tips book.

You have a fuse box under the hood and one on the drivers side under the dash. I can look it up tomorrow at work. The fuse covers should have info too on where the fuses and relays are. Usually a fuse and a relay control the windows because they draw a lot of power. Do all the windows not work? Do any work from their own switch?

Windows wont roll up and down and hazard continues to click even when not on.

These are two separate issues. The most common cause of the clicking is the hazard switch located above the radio.Replacing this generally takes care of that issue occassionally it is a malfunction in the turn signal switch but most likely the hazard switch. If all windows are affected would check fuses first. If the windows roll down from the corresponding switches example rf allows rf to roll down. If not suspect an electrical issue such as fuse or relay. If they do roll down from the switches on the doors but not the drivers door possible a master switch issue.Drivers door contains a master switch that controls all windows.Do the windows work at all?
