Welcome to FIxYa.
As a Toyota Service Manager, my opinion is that you may have the wrong transmission fluid in your car.
The RAV/4 takes Toyota "Type T-4" ATF.
Using anything else will definitely cause you shifting problems.
My advice: Get the trans re-flushed with "Type T-4" as soon as possible, to avoid potential internal damage.
Thanks for choosingFIxYa for assistance; a FIxYa rating for my advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
