Question about 1996 Chevrolet Camaro

Which way does the top go on??

I'm not sure that the people who put my top on did it correctly....there are two parts to the top I just got. The peice that has the plastic glass on it is either backwards or the big piece that covers my roof is backwards but I dont know. There is a rough side and then a soft side....which goes on the outside?

The top on the outside should look like fabric and should look like same material all over

if you got an aftermarket top it may be different

Pull the spark plugs not the wires but the plugs themself make sure they are gapped right to your car and they are not wet in any way you might be getting spark but if they are wet you mise well forget it and just buy new plugs they are like 2 dollars a peice

Right hand motor mount in way of freeze plug

Jack the engine up,use a jack, and a thick piece of wood, and put it under the crank pulley, remove he pin-bolt from the mount, and jack the engine up,make sure nothing is going to hit at the top, fan, and the rear near firewall, then remove the mount, and the bracket for the mount to access the freeze plug.

My liftgsate wont open on 95 jeep

take the inside panel off caerfuly and make sure all the parts move correctly. if it does then maybe you need to apply oil or grease to the parts that you think are best. if a peice is bent or broken like my brothers you just carefully bend it back or replace it.

What size are the fuel lines going into the fuel filter. Need to know to buy the correct removal tool.

It doesn't matter just go to the parts store and ask them for a fuel line separate kit it will come with about 10 small plastic peices for about $5.00 bucks.

lt sounds very much like you have bent a valve stem. There is a quick way to check the probability of this, firstly get a peice of wood, about 50mm x 50mm and about 6oomm long (or 2x2 and2ft long in old money) With the engine idleing place one end of the peice of wood on the top of the cam cover, (thats where you put the oil in) and the other placed against your ear. you will be able to hear the valves rattle if they are bent, and sorry mate, if thats the case, it's an engine head rebuild or replace with either a new block or one from the wreking yard.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOESN'T ILLUMINATE

Yes, that is correct. What probably happened is the bulb for the check engine light burned out. The way to fix it is to pull the gauge cluster out and replace the bulb. It's not very hard to do either. If i remember right, for that year civic there are two screws holding the cluster trim in on the top inside by the cluster case. Then the dash peice connected to that that goes around the steering wheel just pops out and u just unplug the electrical switches and pull that whole peice out. Once that's out there should be 3 screws holding the cluster in, take those out and the cluster will pull right out. Carefully unplug the harness and speedometer cable and locate the check engine light bulb and twist a quarter turn and pull straight out. Then just replace with new bulb and reinstall the parts. If u can do it yourself you'll save a lot of money. A dealer would probably charge u an hour of labor which is somewhere around $115 depending on the dealer and location. Then the price of the bulb, probably a few bucks. Hope this helps, good luck!
