Front left window of a 2003 jeep grand cherokee is not going up or down

You might need to replace the motor for that specific window, and check for faulty wiring.

Power window motor

Hold up on the switch and slam the door. If it is the motor this should work at getting it up. Hard to believe that both switches would go bad at the same time.

Driver side window will not go up. it will go down, but not up

It could be a couple of things. If the motor has a hard time lowering the window, then it could be the motor. If not, then I'd buy a replacement switch box. You can replace that fairly easily. If that doesn't work, it could be the motor, or the window regulator could be jammed. If the motor hums and tries to move when you press the up button, it could be the regulator( all that other junk in the door that controls the window). In that case, do NOT replace the switch, because the humming you hear means the motor is getting power, and the switch is fine. You could replace the switch or the motor, but I would suggest letting a professional fix the regulator.
