Dash lights and parking lights dont work

Do the headlights work? do the tail lights work?
If you haven't checked the fuses, do that first. If they aren't blown, the next likely problem is the switch itself. These can be found in working condition from a junk yard.
My Cavalier lost it's tail lights and parking lights, but the headlights worked, I had to replace the switch on the steering column.
If it is the problem, it is not too complicated to replace yourself with basic tools. You will need a steering wheel puller and you will want to disconnect the battering. Be extra careful with the airbag.
Good luck

2002 Malibu brake lights won't work

You can look into the tail light assembly through the small holes in the inside at the medal bands to look for corrosion or rust. The seal in these lights are bad about leaking and loosing connection. I usually pick one up from a salvage yard. They range in cost from $50 to $125. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Tail lights dont work

Chech the fuses in the fuse box, the one labelled "park lights" might be the culprit. Replace it regardless, sometimes the contact points "rust" on older fuses.
