Replace tailight I just noticed that I have a running tailight out on my 2005 Prius and I haven't a clue as to how to replace it. Has anyone replace one, probably same as 2004 Prius? Thanks ahead of time. Dandy

I just looked at a Prius in my shop; there is a small plastic removable panel (approx 3" x 4") inside the rear compartment, facing the taillamps...lift the panel off, and you now have access to the bulb sockets.

How to Replace Headlight Bulb on 2005 Prius?

Remove fender well trim ( a few screws)
Remove front bumper COVER (not the bumper- the plastic cover)
About 14 screws. Mostly on the underside, get a creeper, and a few
on the top.

Remove the (left or right side) Headlight assembly ( a couple more screws).
One assembly contains the headlight, turn signal and running light. Unplug
the electrical connector from the assembly. All bulbs remove from the back
of the headlight assembly. Headlight is held in place by bail wire, smaller
bulbs are 1/4 turn.

Why did this happen all of a sudden, Overheating (maybe) and RPM Sensor Pointing down?

If the noise was coming from the cooling system, first try to replace the radiator or expansion bottle pressure cap. The RPM needle probably is unrelate to the cooling system problem.

My 2004 Prius has a rattling metallic sound on acceleration. It is coming from the top of the engine on the passenger side. Does anyone know what this can be?

Does the car make this sound when the car has just been turned off and engine is still hot? Lightly push the car back and forth while it's in park. Does it still make that sound?

I have a 2005 toyota prius, with the key panic button the horn sound but when I press the horn on the steering wheel the horn is dead, what is it a relay, contacts?

This is likely due to a defective horn contact under the steering wheel called the clock spring ribbon rotating contact drum. You must disarm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel (requires special tools) to replace the contact.

Replacing drivers side head light bulb 2004 Prius

The bulb isnt bad to replace. Is it HID? There is a round black plastic cover that needs to be unscrewed. A dealer normally charges .3 to change a bulb. If youre having difficulty, pay a professional. Its really not that difficult.
