Question about 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
Hi Everyone..A few months ago my speedometer stop working and then started working again and then stop all together. Two weeks ago my gas gauge quit working,it did the same thing as my speedometer started and then stop all together. Then I was driving home from a short trip and my cruse control went out... Does anyone have a suggestion, to what the problem could be? I was told it was all hook up to my transmission from a repair guy.. what do you think?
Replace the ip cluster will fix speedometer

These guys can rebuild your dash cluster and get your speedometer working properly again. http://www.mrwhizard.com/services2.cfm#Start
It is not the sensors. afterall, what are the odds that 3 sensors would go out at once?

This is usually caused by faulty motors in the instrument cluster, if you have 2 or more gauges that stop working or start reading odd then you can be sure of it. I can help with Trailblazer instrument cluster repair. Check my Trailblazer page here http://drspeedometer.com/services-i-offer/trailblazer-speedometer-repair

The gas guage is a separate issue and not related to the speedo and cruise issue, those 2 thing are caused by a defective vehicle speed sensor. As far as the gas guage it is either the sending unit or a poor ground connection at the tank connector.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 Chevy
Bad Stepper motors....the motors in your cluster are very weak... there is an upgraded motor x 25-168...cost 175.00 parts and labor to replace all of them. Ive repaired a lot of clusters with this very problem

SOURCE: my speedometer stop working
It's a bad stepper motor (the device that operates the needle on the gauge). Replacements can be found on eBay for approx. $4.95 each - just search for "stepper motor". Just got 6, to replace all of mine.
