Wiring problem on driver's side door

I can't raise or lower the passenger side window on my Civic. I took it to a repair shop I use. The tech told me that the plug inside the door frame that leads to the driver's side controls has burned up. How can I replace this part?

Are you asking how to fix this? or where to get the part that you need too fix it? If you need the wiring harness plug, you should be able to get it from any local junkyard, just tell them what kind of car and which door. If you need a new switch also they should have that too. Now if you are asking how to install the new wire harness plug then all you have to do is take off the door panel and unhook the plug going to the switch. The switch will pop up out of the armrest if you need to replace it. To fix the wiring just match the colors of the wire harness plug that you got from the junkyard to the wiring harness attached to the switch. You will just have to splice them together and then use electrical tape to wrap them separately. The colors and number of wires should be an exact match if not then you most likely do not have the right plug. This should FixYa :) Hope it helps and dont forget if it still does not work after you change the plug, it could be the window motor or the fuse. None of the windows will work if it is the fuse.

It's not a wiring problem. Rather,i think your window has slipped off the track. You will to open up the door panel to get to it and fix it.

Passenger window switch works but the drivers side switch does not

was regulator bad? did it work from drivers side switch before you did regulator repair?..if so passenger side switch wiring has issue and is not sending signal through it back to the drivers side master switches.. otherwise you need to pin test for power up power down on drivers side switch and repair that if issue going to the window on passenger side.. (possible pinched at door jam area common)

Passenger window does not work

You can get a wiring diagram and tests light and test the circuits. Or just change the switchs the problem could be in a either switch. Also with the doors opened wiggle the wires going from the doors to the body while pushing on the switch. You may have a broken wire in this area or bad connection. Hope it works out.

Due to car accident the driver's side door doesn't work properly with the key, it does with the remote up to a point, the actual button doesn't go fully down. The car was taken to a locksmith where we told...

Something is bent and not getting full travel. Notify the insurace company that its not right, and insist that it be taken to the Honda dealer, so it can be fixed properly. Body shops only look for easy money and the adjuster is on the Ins Co. side, not yours, His job is to fix the car as cheaply as possible.

The passenger window on my Silhouette cannot be lowered by the passenger control. Either the drivers side or passenger side control can be used to raise the window. Any ideas?

the switch on the passenger side is probably bad. There is a three prong switch for the window control that sends a signal to the window motor that is also in the door. When you try to lower the window the prong is probably bent or damaged, not allowing the signal to complete the path. I would change out the switch and see how it works. If that doesn't work, you might have a wiring problem.
