SOURCE: how to replace tail light on VW golf mk5 estate

Although you posted this question under a 03 VW Golf and you have a MKV. The best I can do is a MKIV set up. From the rear trunk there are access ports just for this job. The right port will be just above the light housing you will find a wire harness for the right assembly. Follow the harness and it will lead you to the assembly. Once located you can squeeze the two tabs and pull the circuit board where the bulbs are installed. Push on the bulb and twist anti-clockwise then pull out of the socket.

The left should be the same procedure and it is located behind your audio components.

NOTE: It's a good idea to wipe your hand and the glass bulb, leaving oily residue will cause early bulb failure once in operation.

Check for a fuel pressure regulator. If you are testing the pressure at the end of the line, the fuel has already passed through the regulator. I'd be willing to bet the pressure coming from the pump(s) directly is up to snuff.

I have a gti golf problem is loss of power when pulling away then it will go ok when you put your foot down ive changed fuel filter x air flow meter it goes better but its still not right

Could be several things, weak fuel pump (failing), , or fuel pressure regulator ,Often, the engine will stall out during a fast accelerating, or suddenly jump and accelerate more quickly than you intended. It also might take more effort than usual to get your car to accelerate, and when it does, the acceleration will happen much more slowly than normally. if you have bad plugs or wires. good-day!

Hi I am getting a few codes the main problem on my 06 VW gti 2.0 Turbo that I am trying to narrow down is this...When the car is cold it runs normal when it is hot it will idle up and down from 800rpm to...

It appears you are having trouble with your fuel pressure regulation. Check for leak at vacuum hose connections to fuel pressure regulator. Your fuel pressure is low causing the fuel mixture to vary. This is causing your idle control valve to compensate. You may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Check to see if gas is coming out of the vacuum fitting on the fuel pressure regulator, this would explain the problems you are experiencing, as raw fuel would be flowing into the vacuum line and into the engine causing a very rich mixture. you could check the fuel pressure but I'm guessing you don't have the gauge to do it.

Electric windows not working, how do i fix this golf gti 115 mark

To isolate your problem a few questions needed.
  • Do you hear any noise when you hit the switch
  • Does it move a bit
  • Can you operate it from the outside locking mechanism
If you can hear the motor (regulator) but window does not operate, then we established that power is being supplied and fuse/relay are ok. Your problem is a bad window regulator or a guide cable is fraying and caused it to knot up on the guides.

If you hear nothing at all then you first need to figure whether it's a fuse, a relay or the wiring is bad.

Golf 2 gti k-jetronic problem

First check the filters... There is a high pressure filter near the fuel distributor and a strainer in the tank... Connect a fuel pressure gauge at the fuel distributor... there are 2 test ports for this. One is "system" pressure the other is "control" pressure... you want the "system" port...if no (or very low) pressure then I would suspect the fuel distributor itself... If pressure is good and still no spray from the injectors then either the fuel is very dirty and has clogged the injectors (not very likely except in extreme cases of neglect) or the injectors aren't getting a signal (or an intermittent signal, more likely) from the injection control unit. If none of this helps you will need to get the Bentley manual and follow the troubleshooting steps...;-)
