The ac is supossed to slow down, it was a way for them to keep the torque there. there could also be a plug undone on the passenger side by the big black box there is a black container there for the ac that has two plugs one come unconected sometimes

Take it to a shop and have your ac charged there may not be enough freon in the system to keep your compressor kicked in at higher rpms

1986 Nissian 300zx automatic. Is there a way to prevent the AC switching off as you accelerate. My car changes from AC dash vents to defrost mode with the slightest step on the gas. Thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak. If you or someone you know knows about vehicles you can deduce the problem, otherwise you may want to go to a mechanic who understands vacuum leaks.

My fuel gauge dosent work on my 1986 nissan 300zx

The fuel level sensor is defective in almost every case. It is located inside the fuel tank, the tank must be removed from the car to replace it.

1986 misan 300z car will ot idle when first starts

Check that the choke is not stuck open or not working at all. THe chole has an accelerated idle cam which increases the idle speed when the engine is cold and the choke is supposed to be closed and as it starts to open.

No dashboard lights or windshield wipers.

I had the same problemon my 87 model z. If you are looking at the front of the car THe battery Should be one the left. Just below the battery there is a little black box with some diferent colored wires in it. The one closest the the front of the car(SHOULD BE GREEN) is called a fusible link. You cant tell if its melted by the naked eye most likely, but if you pull on that wire i guarantee that its burnt. Touch the two burnt ends back together and vialah, everything cuts back on. Make sure your battery wasnt installed backwards. That was the reason mine blew.
