My mitsubishi endeavor passenger rear window is off its track and does not lower or raise, but I can hear the motor running when switch is activated.

The same has happened to my wife's car and I am in the process of trying to fix it myself. Wondering if anyone has come across a solution which can be done from home without having to buy and install new parts. Thanks.

Yea its actully quite simple, but expensive. The regulator needs to be replaced. I have already replaced my right rear, but I think my driver side is going out also, sounds like it anyway.
Thank God I bought a third party warrnty and they took care of everything. Zurich is the name of the company. I purchased the one with no deductible. Anyway I wish I had a better solution-but its awful hard to do your self.

Check Fuse

Check Switches

Check Motor

Check Regulator

In that order

If you have Retained Accy Relay or
A Window Module,then you need
a repair shop to diagnose

Check means you need electrical
knowledge & a volt meter

Rear driver window won't roll up

Mitsubishi uses cables to raise and lower hand crank style windows. If the cables have broken or come off the track the only way to fix the problem is to buy a new assembly at the dealer and reinstall the system so you can raise and lower the window.

Rear power window has fallen off track on 2004 jeepcan the door panel be removed and replaced without special tools

Yes. But it is not as simple as putting the window back on track. Most new vehicles use a different type of regulator (not the old pinion and rack type gear. Most use a small motor that is attached to cables that raise and lower the window. Most often these cables break and the window falls. Pull the inner door panel off and you can verify. If it is the regulator, check out Amazon. Seem to have the best prices and warrantees. Good luck!
