You must wait for the system to run internal tests then if it sees no issue it will clear and show ready. This is called an OBD2 drive cycle test. The EVAP system is slow to clear along with the EGR system.
these are the steps i found for a 2001 to 2005 you may have to research a bit to make sure they are the same for a 2006 most auto stores will be able to tell you this but make sure u get a second opinion just to be safe
Hi,I found a factory service repair manual on eBay that comes in a cd-rom form that you can put in your computer.It covers 2001-2005 kia-optima. It cost $9.80 and free shipping. just go to eBay and type in 2004 kia optima factory service repair manual( its from canada.)....hope this helps.yz-maniac
Not sure. Check with a junk yard they are good at those questions. The swap is EASY. just remove the interior triangle shaped cover, and remove the nuts and wires to take off the old one. Some Optimas also have tweeters in that location, use caution if you have them, they are expensive to replace. good luck!
