My car is miss fireing - 1993 Ford Festiva

    i tryed the spark plugs test and when i take off 1 by 1 only two slow engine down could this be the problem

Solution *2 you have few wires on top of the distributor check if have corosion i had thath prob before

misfires are more that often from faulty injectors and not spark related
check fuel pressure and injector condition
use fuel conditioner in the tank

2001 vw golf 1.9 gt tdi miss fire


if you have a pd engine and you say that it miss fires i would change the wire loom to the injectors if it persists the air flow meter is on the blink, has you car ever gone into a limp mode status were you couldn't rev then check your turbo ,this may sound strange but just had a 150bhp tdi which was remapped with a very simular problem

have you checked the oxygen sensor on that side commonly on cheverolet the O2 sensor will read wrong and over fuel or under fuel an entire bank

92' Cavalier 2.2L 4 cyl. runs but has a miss coming from #4 cyl.


Matter not whether plug fires out of engine. Put it back in and clamp a timing ligh to it. If the light won't fire, you don't have enough spark to fire cylinder, hense miss.

run some injector cleaner through the system u could have some trash in one of the injectors
