Question about Mini Cooper
Make sure all of the microswitches are depressed in the trunk of the car. Three in all. First is on the parcel shelf holder on the left. second is on the trunk access hook left one (drivers side).Last one is the trunk switch again on the left. all three should be depressed before the top will go all the way down.

check the parcel shelf has been refitted correctly as there is a micro switch on the left hand side that stops the second stage of the roof from opening
