Question about 2002 Land Rover Freelander
I had this problem on my wife's 2001 Freelander and it ended up being a loose battery terminal. There was plenty of electricity to run lights, radio and so forth. When the starter solenoid kicked in you could hear it click, but the loose terminal couldn't carry enough power to turn the starter motor. Battery was fine in all respects and when I tightened the terminal, everything worked like it's supposed to.

Had to join the AA, it was simply a flat battery !!! However it was showing on the battery as healthy (green colour) and I did try jumping it with another vehicle which made no impression on the "click" but hey it's done now. Thanks for your interest
