Jeff Armer is the Expert Auto electronics Expert on the site, but I found two ways to reset the Security System and Immobilizer.

1. Insert the key into the driver's side door lock.
2. Turn the key once, but not all the way to unlock the door. Leave the key in this position for 40-60 seconds. ...
3. Do this again, but turn the key in the opposite direction.
4. Remove the key from the door, get into your Ford, and start the engine. The system should be reset.

you cannot and the only ones who ?an fit batteries and re-programme the keys again is the dealer ,all vehicles from 2005 are like this ,its to stop people from doing it themselves and create easy cash for the dealers ,sorry i couldnrt help

Try using your door key to lock-unlock the rear hatch lock. That should disarm the factory security system and allow the jeep to start.

You will have to use a key to turn one of the door locks or the trunk lock, in order to turn off the factory security system, which will then allow the car to start. If it's an aftermarket alarm you have installed in your car, you will have to consult the user manual for that particular alarm in order to disarm it.

Yes, there is a way to reprogram your car to lock the doors when the gear selector is put into Drive.

First to turn off the alarm you simply put the key into the drivers door and turn it to unlock the door twice, this is the factory setting to turn off activated Volkswagen alarm. As for the power locks they are air activated, in the trunk near the latch there should be a small electric motor that drives a small air pump with air lines running to all your locks. If this electric motor as worn out your locks will not operate, simple fix replace the motor. I'd try a used one first from a scrap yard to make sure but always check to see if there is power to the motor (you will need another person with a test light to perform this job). do you have a remote? sometimes when you have remote unlocks and lock with the remote and try to unlock manually(with key) the security system "thinks" its being picked and will not allow the vehicle to start or run.
