Question about 1995 Isuzu Rodeo

95 Isuzu Rodeo fuel issue

I have a 95 Rodeo and it feels like a fuel issue, it starts to sputter and it hesitates alot and backfires, unless I step on the accelorater enough to downshift but then when I do the car will go but than the whole car starts to shake. I have already replaced the fuel filter, plugs and wires, air filter, cleaned the intake manifold and used just about every injector cleaner knowen to man. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Backfire through the exaust and hessitation

Backfire is the result of unburned fuel in the exhaust igniting. I would look at the timing. Could be out enough for this to be the cause. Good starting point in my opinion. Not usually a plug issue.

Its a 1995 eclipse gs. Cranks but doesnt start. The fuel pump kicks in and fuel rail has gas flowing. Its just backfires and sounds bad in general. Ive had several people look at it and no one can so

There are few possibilities that cause such problems.
No start problem,backfire issues.
I suggest you few help links related to these issues.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

1997 mountaineer backfires hesitates

I would check fuel pressure first.
According to the parts book that engine could have a distributor or two coil packs. If it has a distributor with a cap and rotor those parts could be faulty.
Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?

Have a 1992 isuzu rodeo v6 3.1L that started up fine, ran for several minutes then died suddenly before i even put it in gear. no sputtering or hesitation, it just died as if turned off. I was unable to...

If it sounds different when you are trying to start it, as far as the way it use to sound before it actually started. It could be your timing belt or chain.

My 1999 isuzu rodeo ran out of gas and now it won't start even with 4 gallons of gas. It cranks, the lights don't dim, but it does not even sputter or anything.

Many times when the tank is empty, the fuel pump draws the sediment up into the fuel strainer that is there to protect the pump.

This can clog or plug the strainer so much that it prevents fuel from being pulled up into the fuel pump.

The fuel pump can be damaged by the debris that is pulled up, causing it to fail.

I suggest a pressure test. You can spray a small amount of wd40 or carb cleaner into the intake while being careful, if the vehicle tries to run, then more than likely it is your fuel pump.

Be careful for backfires, you are spraying a flamable product into the intake and any timing problems could cause sparking to create a backfire. Just stand to one side and be careful.

good luck
