Question about 1998 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Honda accord 1996 starts, wont run

The other day i was driving and noticed that my car wouldn't accelerate. RPMs were normal, going up to between 3 and 4K. I parked, got out, and noticed a HUGE puddle of tranny fluid underneath my car. Im not sure where to begin with finding out where it came from. The dipstick still shows there is tranny fluid in the tranny and it hasn't leaked since its been towed back to my house. If i turn on my car and put it into any of the drives, 3, 2, or 1, the cars RPMs go up but the MPH doesn't and my car wont move.... any ideas?

You blew your tranny from over heating it just because you have fluid doesnt meen that everything is fine your filter could have cloged not allowing proper fluid to the gears

1996 Honda accord Stalling!!

I would replace the fuel filter, double check your work and make sure that all plug wires are securely connected and going to the right place (we all make mistakes sometimes) and check or replace the coil.

My 91 honda accord drives fine, but after driving for a while it starts to hesitate and only drives when i accelerate and decelerate what's the problem?

If the car starts to hesitate at right around 2000 to 2300 RPMs then the EGR ports on the intake manifold need to be cleaned out. The exhaust gas is flooding only one cylinder and causing the hesitation(misfire of that flooded cylinder) since all the other ports are blocked off with carbon build-up. This happen right when the EGR valve opens, letting in the exhaust gas. To find out if this is indeed your problem, remove and plug up the rubber vacuum hose going into the EGR valve and drive the car. If it stops hesitating, that's the problem.

08 accord ex-v6 auto. engine vibration @ idle in park or (gear at stop) when engine is cold to warm until it fully warms. dealer states it's normal. dealer showed me another accord with similar shake.???...

I've got an 08 4cyl and it doesn't really have the vibration unless its really cold. Usually if I give it about 30 seconds...when the rpms start to come down, its barely noticeable.
