If its a 2001+ Stratus Coupe first you need to remove the 2 bolts on the left and right sides of the lower middle dash assembly, these are at the very bottom of the assembly close to the center consuel (were your gearshift knob is. Once you remove those the assembly around your stero will come off. After that its just a matter of unbolting the stereo, sliding it out and removing the wireing harness in the back. hope this helps
Do not replace the ECM Robert, The problem is in the dash on stratus, cirrus, breeze and neon, there are three resistors on the back of the dash that was poorly designed and installed to close together, they creat too much heat and the solder points come loose, you can repair this yourself in about one hour, if you send me your email address i'll send you a picture of what your looking foron the dash,Make sure you keep the three resistors held in while you resolder them.
There is a valve located on one of the heater hoses that when you select heat moves to allow heated water to flow through the heater core. Yours is probably just stuck, with heat selected on the dash try to move valve by hand.
You have either lost vacuum to the mode control switch or the switch leaks, this switch is in the ac conrol head in the dash. When you select dash, floor etc. this what changes where the air comes out.
