Question about 1991 GMC Sonoma
There is bushing type metal flang welded to the side of the frame right next to the starter and the top of it is kinda rounded over....what you need to do is take a torch and heat up the piece that is bent over and try to bend it straight up and down or farther back. then the starter can be removed wit less effort and with out having to remove the motor mount bolts and lifting the motor up.

It's easy, 2 9/16 bolts, remember to disconnect battery and make a note of the wiring on the starter.
